My name is Natalia Sanchez and I am a Ph.D. student at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, co-supervised by Dr. Katherine Kuchenbecker and Dr. Christoph Keplinger.  I obtained my Master's degree in Industrial Engineering in 2020, from Purdue University, working on assistive technologies and robotics supervised by Dr. Juan Wachs.

Research Interests

My research interests lie at the intersection of haptics, smart materials, soft actuation, and robotics. I work in the Haptic Intelligence Department and Robotic Materials Department at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, specializing in soft actuators and sensors for haptic and robotic applications. Projects involve the design of versatile wearable haptic feedback devices, the evaluation of user perception of tactile feedback, and the development of soft tactile sensors for robotic manipulation.
